Flexible electrical conduit

Grey flexible conduit with connectors and mounting brackets for electrical or plumbing installations.

Flexible electrical conduit lets you connect equipment and boxes where rigid conduit just won't go. Accès Distribution Produits stocks CSA-certified flexible PVC conduit for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations. Because it bends, it routes easily through cavities and ceilings and handles connections to vibrating equipment, and a liquidtite conduit option covers wet-location runs.

How to choose your flexible conduit

Identify the application

Flexible conduit earns its keep on final connections: between a rigid run and a fixture, a motor, an electrical panel or a heating and ventilation unit. It also pulls wire through existing walls on renovation work.

Know your material

Flexible PVC conduit (non-metallic) suits dry locations and residential work. Check what the code requires for your installation type before you commit.

Check the diameter and length

Flexible conduit comes in diameters from 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches and ships in rolls. The diameter has to match the liquidtight conduit fittings / flexible conduit accessories (connectors, fittings) you'll use to make the connection.

Frequently asked questions

Flexible conduit bends to follow curves and clear obstacles; rigid conduit holds its shape. Flexible handles final connections and renovations, while rigid carries the main runs.

Some models are rated for outdoor use (watertight, UV-resistant). Check the rating on the spec sheet. For permanent outdoor runs, go with a liquid-tight flexible conduit.

Every conduit we carry is CSA-certified and meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Flexible conduit accessories include connectors (to fasten the conduit to boxes), mounting straps and transition fittings to rigid conduit.
